Thursday Is The New Monday...When You Have Monkey Pox!

I'd like to dedicate this post to my new friend from the Rite Aid who may have actually kept me alive for the past few days. It has hydrated me and put valuable sugar into my bloodstream. I'd like to introduce you all to:

Cheap Plastic Drink Dispenser!
The yellow core is a freezer pack that gets screwed into the lid, maintaining optimal drinking temperatures for up to 10 minutes at a time. It's colors are bright, it's size is just perfect for my coffee table and, like most of my favoritest toys, can be purchased at the drug store. Sure, it drips on the carpet and it's not insulated or anything, but it did the trick. It kept the Kool Aid flowing and did not require that I actually leave the divot I have carefully crafted for myself in the couch cushion. It has been my truest of friends.
I wonder if it missed me today while I was back at work? Yes, I did make it back in and some of the damage that results when a teacher is out for an extended period was repaired. My breathing was pretty bad, but moving around much of the day helped somewhat with the pain so I guess it was a trade-off. My understanding is that it will be a couple of weeks before I really start to feel like myself. Meanwhile, it appears that I lost a significant amount of weight in the 7 days I spend dealing with this. Not the kind that makes people go, "Oh my God, you look so freaking hot!!!!" The kind that makes people whisper behind your back and then elect one brave member to approach you and see if they can suss out what in the holy hell happened to you. My ego took alot of hits today. "Wow...you look awful; what are you even doing here?"
It's good to be home. It feels like Monday, but it's really Thursday and I only need to get through tomorrow. Then I can get back to this:

Mommy loves her corrie...c'mon, give Mommy some kisses...mwah!

It just keeps getting prettier. It spins so smoothly that I can even do it whilst under the influence of King Codeine. And ya gotta trust me and my aching back and sides on this one.

The King will not be leaving the building this weekend.

Welcome back to the living. You know, I was beginning to suspect p-newmonia last night. Anyway, take it easy for the next couple of days until you regain your strength. And the yarn you're spinning up looks pretty good.
